Plastic: A paradigm-shifting invention of the 20th century, yet an impending threat to the ecosystem
Plastic, unequivocally hailed as the apex of human innovation, has evolved into an indispensable asset across countless industries. The trajectory of global plastic production, soaring from a modest 1.5 million tons in 1950 to an astounding 460 million tons in 2019, is projected to continue its remarkable ascent, reaching an anticipated 1.23 billion tons by 2060. At the end of its lifecycle, a meager 9% of this plastic is recycled, with the overwhelming majority either incinerated or discarded, ultimately finding its way into our oceans and posing a severe threat to our ecosystems. The pressing global issue of plastic waste disposal certainly calls for immediate solutions.
Unveiling a unique recipe with novel applications
Capitalizing on four decades of extensive expertise in the creation of a variety of materials, predominantly plastic, Intops has launched the eco-friendly brand, 'grecipe.' The moniker 'grecipe' is a thoughtful combination of 'green,' symbolizing nature, and 'recipe,' representing our unwavering dedication to producing materials in harmony with nature. grecipe's innovative approach breathes new life into discarded materials by merging plastic waste, coffee dregs, lumber debris, and mollusk shell residues, thereby creating our signature eco-friendly composite material.
A differentiated production process
grecipe stands firm in its commitment to environmental preservation by curbing rampant plastic production and redefining the use of materials that were previously deemed exhausted. With a vision to ensure the lasting enjoyment of our unspoiled natural surroundings, Intops pledges to persistently drive efforts, placing a relentless emphasis on eco-friendliness through grecipe.
Sustainable materials
Woodchips represent a creative synergy of recycled plastic and wood remnants. Exhibiting a high coefficient, superior heat resistance, and exceptional dimensional stability, this creation's aesthetic appeal can be finely calibrated based on the dimensions of the wood particles. Coffee dregs constitute a unique blend composed of 5-40% coffee residue combined with recycled plastic. This innovative mixture offers a subtle coffee aroma, alongside the distinctive color, texture, and pattern typical of coffee. Our material made from oyster shells is an inventive blend of recycled plastic and oyster shells. Mirroring woodchips, this material possesses a high coefficient, outstanding heat resistance, and remarkable dimensional stability and its aesthetic appeal can be artfully tailored based on the particle size of the oyster shells.
