CMF(Color, Material, Finish) Newsletter. 2023.07-1

Today's product discourse is nearly inseparable from the term 'sustainability.' Industries across the board, from distribution and fashion beauty to architecture and mobility, strive to curb reckless plastic production, opting for sustainable production methods. It is now an expectation that products are crafted from environmentally friendly materials, and they must possess distinctive design values to withstand market competition. This July, hïda's CMF (Color, Material, Finish) newsletter spotlights 'Classy Eco,' presenting examples of ecologically considerate CMF and exceptional design values across a range of fields.

The Japanese construction company 'Asanuma' launched the 'GOOD CYCLE BUILDING' project, a visionary endeavor to transform a 30-year-old edifice into a sophisticated, eco-friendly structure. Harnessing the original building framework to optimize access to natural light and air circulation, various soil materials and cedar were utilized for both interior and exterior applications, including furnishings and accessories. The unpolluted earthen walls are ripe for potential reuse as painting materials. This initiative aims to reintegrate architectural structures into a favorable cycle for humans and the Earth, cultivating a comfortable environment intertwined with the changing characteristics of light, wind, earth, wood, and plants.

The glossy sheen and intriguing texture of the nonwoven fabric present a distinctive visual effect owing to the recurring crease patterns, often giving the illusion of subtly lustrous metal from a distance. The lighting from Molo casts an elegant atmosphere, attributed to the natural shadow effects crafted by the creases.
