Is there a way to make black more black? Black, which is simple and modern, sometimes feels bland because of the basic feel as a color. However, with various touches on the black, it becomes more elegant and stylish black with a completely different feel. Here are a variety of blacks with sophisticated styles, introduced by hida.

Vantablack, Surrey NanoSystems

This watch, with its hands looking like they are floating on the black hole-like dial, is made by H. Moser & Cie, a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer. Its design is simple yet deep and luxurious with the dial made of Vantablack®, known as the blackest black in the world. Vantablack®, developed by Surrey NanoSystems, absorbs 99% of visible light, using carbon nanotube technology.

Musou Black, KoPro

KoPro (Koyo Orient Japan) has developed Musou Black, the world's blackest water-based acrylic paint with a light absorption rate of 99.4% and light-absorbing sheets (Fineshut SP/ Fineshut KIWAMI/ Flock Sheet). These sheets can be used for various purposes including camera parts (lens hood anti-reflective stickers, films, camera leathers).

Phantom Black, Samsung Galaxy

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has released a matt 'Phantom Black' that is elegant and firm. A black film base and glass haze method (diversification of etching time, glass thickness variation) were implemented to create black that absorbs almost all light. It is the closest to the essence of deep and calm black but at the same time, reflects various colors depending on the shape and angle of the light.

Two-tone Black, Intops hida

Intops has developed a haze method that is in line with the recent mobile trend with an imprinting method using Glasstics. Also, with the additional development for the implementation of being matt and glossy at the same time, SCM with black color was established to create hida two-tone black.

The look and feel of mattness can change by the changes in the haze rate. The advancement of CMF can be achieved based on the technology of implementing mattness and glossiness at the same time. A differentiated CMF implementation is also available with application development for a specific logo part to be glossy.
