Like the rippling waves, dazzling sunlight, and leaves dripping with dew, ever-changing nature brings us peace of mind and happiness. What do products inspired by these natural phenomena look like? Let's look at some examples of how wonderful nature has been brought into our daily lives.

Mother of Pearl Dial, RADO

RADO's 'True Thinline Nature' collection consists of watches inspired by nature, such as earth, water and leaves. The dial of True Thinline Leaf watches features a unique design with green mother-of-pearl and leaf patterns depending on the angle of view. A translucent mother-of-pearl material is layered over the printed leaf pattern, revealing the pattern through light, giving the watch a mysterious and unique feel.

Liquefy coffee tables, Glas Italia

Glas Italia released an oval table that expresses the rippling waves of the sea by creating a shading pattern on a transparent ultra-light reinforced crystal. The pattern is dynamic and variable depending on the angle of view, so it is delightful to look at. There are 4 colors: Green, pink beige, whiskey, and anthracite gray.

A cabinet that contains the beauty of the sea, Marea De Castelli

The furniture of Italian metalworking specialist De Castelli captures the beauty of the sea through a pictorial effect (watercolor) reminiscent of water erosion on a metal surface. Through a 12-step process including grinding and acid treatment of stainless steel, brass, and black iron, a special color effect is achieved, and the design has recently attracted attention due to collaboration with Samsung's 'Chef Collection'.

A 3D printed chair that resembles the waves of the sea, Nagami

Designed by Middle East Architecture Network and manufactured in Nagami, Spain, this armchair is continuously stacked from the side to a thickness of 6mm through 3D printing of recycled PETG. A wavy pattern is added to the curved structure for structural rigidity, and this pattern exhibits a unique aesthetic characteristic (moiré) that appears naturally. The wavy pattern on the aquamarine green surface is reminiscent of the Arabian waters off the coast of Dubai.

Natural and artificial materials, Intops

Intops uses artificial pattern films and materials that apply natural patterns to their designs by using natural materials. Artificial pattern film has the advantage of being able to apply various designs through color mixing even with the same pattern, and is applied for decoration of cosmetic cases and household items. The texture, pattern, and touch that come from natural materials are far superior and luxurious than artificial materials. In addition, each sheet has a different pattern and texture, and this material is being considered for use in interior design such as in automobiles and household appliances.
