This is a plastic made through the polycondensation of ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid. It has high transparency and good insulation, as well as lightness, no taste or smell, excellent creep strength, low absorption, and dimensional stability.

- Noncrystalline PET has high transparency, but it is mainly used for bottles or packaging due to its low tensile strength and low sliding properties. It is also used as a structural material for aircraft, ships, and vehicles that require light and large strength by making fiber-reinforced plastic with glass fiber.
